The EPC 10 USB patch clamp amplifier is the latest model of the EPC (Extra cellular Patch Clamp) series amplifier produced by HEKA (now a subsidiary of Harvard) in Germany. It has single, double, three, and four probe models to choose from (early models in China also included EPC 7, EPC 8, EPC 9, and EPC 10). The instrument panel function buttons/keys of EPC 10 USB are all controlled by computer programs and connected to the computer through USB ports. EPC 10 USB is a patch clamp amplifier that integrates a digital to analog converter and an amplifier. There are currently four models available (see figure below). The included digital to analog converter model is LIH 8+8, matched with software such as Patchmaster or Patchmaster Next, Fitmaster, SmartLux, etc.
